Scoring

Scoring varies from year to year and is decided by the host club.

Generally there is an aggregate score from the judges and the audience.

For 2011, the host club, SLM Copenhagen announced that "The winner, the second place and the third place will be determined by votes by:

The votes of the audience and the jury respectively each have equal weight, i.e. 50 % each.

Each member of the audience will receive two voting tickets. One ticket has a value of one point and the other has a value of two points. You vote by placing one or both of your voting tickets into the container that represents the contestant(s) you want to vote for. You can vote for two candidates as first and second choice by putting the ticket with two points into the container for your first choice candidate, and the ticket for one point into the container for your second choice candidate. You can also put both tickets into the same box and thus give three points to one candidate.

The sum of the votes by the audience will be converted into a ranking of the contestants where the one with the most votes receives X points (X being the number of participants).

The jury will be composed of one jury member from each club, organisation or business sponsoring a contestant. Each judge may vote for any contestant except for the one sponsored by his own club, organisation or business.

Each member of the jury will receive a voting card with the contestants listed. The possible votes will range from 1 to 10. Each number may only be used once. The sum of the votes by the jury will be converted into a ranking of the contestants where the one with the most votes receives X points (X being the number of participants).

The points from the audience’s ranking will be added to the points from the jury’s ranking. The contestant with the most points will be the winner.

In case of a tie, the contestant the jury has given the most points to will be the winner.

For the first, second and third places a medal will be presented by SLM Copenhagen."[8]
